Edumania respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect data when mentors and students use our platform.
1. Information we collect
- Account profile details such as name, email, role, and language preference.
- Course activity data including enrollments, progress, and completion behavior.
- Payment routing metadata needed for mentor payouts to bKash, Nagad, and Rocket.
- Support communications and technical logs to improve security and reliability.
2. Why we collect information
- To provide course publishing, enrollment, and lifetime access functionality.
- To route student payments directly to mentor Mobile Financial Service accounts.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to user accounts.
- To maintain product quality and bilingual support for English and Bangla users.
3. Payment processing model
Edumania does not take commission from course sales. Mentor payments are transferred directly through supported MFS channels. We process only the minimum data required to complete and verify these transactions.
4. Edumania Pay App & Notification Access
Edumania Pay is our Android app for mentors that enables automatic course enrollment when students make payments. To verify student payments, the app uses the NotificationListener service, which can only read notifications that appear in the notification panel. The app does not directly read SMS messages and does not access the SMS inbox. Below is a detailed explanation of how this permission is used:
4.1. Which notifications are accessed
- The app only reads from the notification panel for specific senders:

- Notifications from any other sender are not read or stored
- Notifications from other apps are not accessed
4.2. What information is processed
- Only the Transaction ID and Amount are parsed to verify payments
- The full SMS or personal information (such as phone numbers, names) is not stored
- Transaction ID and Amount are sent to the server solely for course enrollment confirmation
4.3. Transparency & user control
- A complete log is visible inside the app, so users can see exactly which notifications were processed
- Notification access can be revoked at any time through settings
- Uninstalling the app removes all local data
4.4. Data retention & sharing
- The full notifications are never sent to our servers
- Only Transaction ID and Amount are sent to the server for enrollment confirmation
- No notification data is shared with any third party
5. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information with trusted service providers for security, hosting, compliance, and payment routing purposes.
6. Data retention
We retain account and course records as long as needed to provide services, enforce legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Users can request account deletion subject to legal and fraud-prevention exceptions.
7. Your rights
- Request access to your personal data.

- Request a copy of key account records in a portable format.
8. Security practices
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and continuous monitoring to protect accounts and transactions. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we continuously improve our controls.

Edumania is not designed for unsupervised use by children under the age required by local law. Guardians are responsible for supervised access where applicable.
